Henry Hohauser built the South Beach Hotel in 1939. The hotel was carefully restored, preserved and recreated to its original features to such extent that the city of Miami Beach honored the hotel with a Beautification Award. The hotel's privileged location in the Heart of the Art Deco Historic District allows guests to walk to the Bass Museum, and the Miami Beach Convention Center.
